These two articles discuses the creation of Liver Mimic to be used to test for drugs toxic effects in vitro. Currently problems with many drugs “may not turn up until companies have embarked on expensive clinical trials.” By building body structures in the lab and using them to rule out dangerous drug early on a great deal of money can be saved.
